CARDAMOM
ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM
Native to the Malabar Coast of India, this herbaceous rhizomatous plant, like Ginger, is part of the Zingiberaceae family. Highly prized by the ancient Egyptians and later by the Greeks and Romans, it was first used as a solid perfume, mixed with beeswax, and as a toothpaste for its purifying properties. As a mountain plant, its growth requires a shaded, humid environment rich in humus.
Inseparable from Indian cuisine, cardamom is also widely used in Asian and African cuisines.
Its peppery and slightly lemony scent gives it stimulating qualities.

How to care for your candle
We recommend letting your candle burn for about 2 hours so that the entire surface becomes liquid; otherwise, it may tunnel around the wick.
Trim the wick before each use (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm).
To avoid smoke and soot, snuff the flame rather than blowing it out. Re-center the wick.
Tip: Light your scented candle 1 hour before guests arrive so that the fragrance has time to diffuse.
Never leave a candle unattended.
