PEAR
PIRUM
Pirum is the Latin name for pear and refers to a winter and summer pome fruit. Comprising more than two thousand species, the pear comes either from the common pear tree (Pyrus communis L.) or the Chinese pear tree, Pyrus sinensis, a tree in the Rosaceae family.
While the common pear tree originated in the Middle East and was cultivated under the Roman Empire, the latter has existed in China for more than 6,000 years, having come from Central Asia. Oblong and bulbous in shape, pears come in a range of colors—green, yellow, or red—and, more surprisingly, in an ancient black variety known as the Worcester pear.
Bridging the two pear tree species, its fragrance reflects the character of its dark flesh: grainy and juicy, crisp and soft, velvety and slightly sweet.

How to care for your candle
We recommend letting your candle burn for about 2 hours so that the entire surface becomes liquid; otherwise, it may tunnel around the wick.
Trim the wick before each use (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm).
To avoid smoke and soot, snuff out the flame rather than blowing it out. Center the wick.
Tip: Light your scented candle 1 hour before guests arrive to give the fragrance time to diffuse.
Never leave a candle unattended.
