IRIS
IRIS PALLIDA
Pale in color, the Iris pallida is a perennial plant in the Iridaceae family. Native to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, it grows in clumps from rhizomes. Its sword-shaped leaves fan out. Delicate and tissue-paper-like, the spathes of its mauve flower are a marvel.
In ancient Egypt, the iris was associated with Horus, the falcon god who embodied the morning and evening sun. A highly symbolic flower that brings together heaven and earth, the iris later became the flower of the kings of France, foreshadowing the fleur-de-lis. The iris rose to prominence thanks to Catherine de’ Medici: prized by all in the 19th century, it became the blue gold of perfumery.
With its elegant powdery notes, its fragrance is enveloping, slightly sweet and comforting.

How to care for your candle
We recommend letting your candle burn for about 2 hours so that the entire surface becomes liquid; otherwise, it may tunnel around the wick.
Trim the wick before each use (ideal length: 3 to 5 mm).
To avoid smoke and soot, snuff out the flame rather than blowing it out. Center the wick.
Tip: Light your scented candle 1 hour before guests arrive to give the fragrance time to diffuse.
Never leave a candle unattended.
