CEDRUS ATLANTICA
Native to North Africa, from the Algerian Atlas to the Moroccan Middle Atlas, cedar is a conifer in the Pinaceae family. Its naturally aromatic wood is durable and lightweight. It is prized by cabinetmakers and sculptors, and also has medicinal properties.
Its antiseptic resin was used by Egyptian priests to embalm bodies.
