Born in Germany, Ralf Schwieger retains the memory of the scents of forests, moss, and wood from his origins. A chemist by training, he joined the Roure Bertrand Dupont school at the age of thirty. His technique, already very solid, allows him to transcribe his ideas into his compositions. He speaks of his profession as a construction game, half-cerebral, half-intuitive, a game that begins with an intellectual and conceptual phase, followed by a long, sensual, almost tactile research. His highly architectural writing and his desire to compose perfumes that are out of the ordinary give his work an extraordinary personality.
