It all began with a conversation between Frédéric Malle and Carlos Benaïm about the headspace analysis of the Magnolia flower, and the fact that its scent is closer to an Eau de Cologne than to a classic white or pink flower. Carlos then suggested exaggerating its citrus balance to create a cologne and adding a woody vibration. The result is an extraordinarily transparent and natural note, brought to life by a dark base (vetiver, patchouli) that gives it depth, sensuality, and a touch of mystery. A fresh, summery, and timeless chypre.

The Perfumer : Carlos Benaïm
The creator of numerous classics, Carlos Benaïm has been an undisputed star of perfumery for over 30 years. When he speaks of his profession, Carlos Benaïm talks of "predestination": "I was born in Morocco, where my father, a pharmacist, had a passion for extracting essential oils. Every summer, I felt the enthusiasm that moved my father as we traveled across Morocco by jeep to all the harvesting and distillation sites." His very generous style, his curiosity, and his great sense of aesthetics have allowed him to successfully explore a wide variety of territories. At the request of Frédéric Malle, he composed home fragrances for the first time.
Les Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle
Frédéric Malle founded Editions de Parfums on the model of literary publishing houses. The best noses of our time enjoy total freedom to compose completely original and absolutely modern perfumes.
An expert in perfumery, Frédéric Malle selects these artists himself, then helps them give the best of themselves. The result of this collaboration is the best perfumes in each olfactory category.
Together, they strive to push the creative boundaries of their craft. Perfume thus becomes an art object.
