The Perfumer : Dominique Ropion
Dominique Ropion was trained at Roure Bertrand Dupont in Grasse, then in Paris, before joining Jean-Louis Sieuzac, one of the greatest technicians in perfumery. Today a star perfumer at IFF, his work is characterized by a blend of precision and freedom, with a taste for risk and experimentation. Curious about everything and a perfectionist like a watchmaker, he calibrates his accords in a methodical, patient, and meticulous way. Dominique Ropion likes to combine extremes to find novel balances and unexpected formulas. He is an adventurous formulator who is instinctive yet also extremely rigorous; a highly inventive man and an outstanding technician.
