The House of Carrière Frères
Founded in 1884 and awarded a gold medal at the 1889 World’s Fair, the Carrière Frères candle works was revived by the house of Trudon. Its candles pay tribute to the plates of 19th-century botanical encyclopaedias.
Sizes: 185 g candle (45 to 50 hours), H 9 cm – €44
On first lighting, let the whole surface melt (about 2 hours), trim the wick to 3–5 mm before each use and never leave a candle unattended.
