Jean-Claude Ellena composes here a perfume of a new genre: the first eau that combines light transparency and warm softness. Composed like a watercolor, L’Eau d’Hiver blends the transparency of hedione and citrus fruits with the softness of heliotrope, iris, and honey. A limpid, minimal olfactory script pushed to its paroxysm. A tender and fragile balance, halfway between a very light oriental and a Cologne that has been warmed up. An ocean of comfort.

The Perfumer : Jean-Claude Ellena
Born into a family of perfumers in Grasse, Jean-Claude Ellena began learning his craft at the age of 17. From Grasse to Paris, via New York and Geneva, he worked in the most prestigious laboratories, where he viewed himself as a self-taught perfumer. Greatly influenced by Edmond Roudnitska, he writes short, low-concentration formulas to enhance the subtlety and expressiveness of his compositions. Inspired by everyday life, Jean-Claude Ellena likes to say that "perfume, a story of scents, is a poetry of memory, and above all a creation of the mind".
Les Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle
Frédéric Malle founded Editions de Parfums on the model of literary publishing houses. The greatest noses of our time enjoy total freedom to compose perfumes that are entirely original and absolutely modern.
An expert in perfumery, Frédéric Malle selects these artists himself, then helps them bring out the best in themselves. This collaboration results in the finest perfumes in each olfactory category.
Together, they strive to push the creative boundaries of their profession. Perfume thus becomes an art object.
